The art competition was held on the theme of “Social Media Impact on Youth and Education”. As the event was held in online mode, the participants had to send a
photo of their drawing.

Field Visit to a Farm: FIPI Student Chapter arranged a visit to a village nearby for a group of chemical engineering students to advise marginal farmers on moringa farming and to set up a small-scale production plant the production of moringa leaf and seed powder.

This session was very useful to the students as the session revolved around the characteristics and importance of project management.

A knowledge-sharing session was held on the topic “Production of Aromatics” in virtual mode. The speaker was Mr. Pagoti M Rao, Expert in Aromatics Technology, Kuwait. The session went on with the demonstration of the CCR
Platforming Process unit. The processes like Naphtha Feed Stock and Naphtha Hydrotreating were interpreted with the help of flow sheets.

Installation Ceremony of New Officers of the FIPI Student chapter was organized through virtual mode. The Chief Guest, Shri Ravi Raman, Group General Manager (P) & Head of the Institute, IOGPT, ONGC, installed the new executive of the chapter and addressed the gathering. The distinguished guests, Shri Demudu Animireddi, Associate VicePresident – Operations, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd., Visakhaptnam, Dr. B. Balakrishna, Principal, University College of Engineering Kakinada (UCEK), the guests of honor, Dr. M. H. M. Krishna Prasad, Vice-Principal, UCEK, Prof. K. V. Rao, Faculty Advisor of the student chapter, Shri S. K. S. Charyulu, Academic Advisor, Petroleum Courses, and Mr. P. Anil Kumar, Faculty Coordinator, spoke on the occasion. Dr. D. Linga Raju, Head of the Department of PE & PCE, presided over the event.

Blood Group Identification Survey Programme: A blood group identification survey project was carried out by a group of chemical engineering students under the guidance and supervision of the FIPI Chapter. About 685 students of UCEK (A) were surveyed for identifying their blood group. A report was prepared and submitted to the Department of PE and PCE to use the data as and when a particular group of blood is required by the hospitals.
