Outreach program: FIPI JNTUK Student Chapter in collaboration with SPE JNTUK Student Chapter donated food to the “PARIVARTHANA CHILDREN’S PROTECTION CENTRE” in two phases. On 27th January 2023, food is donated during the breakfast hours. Students not just donated the food but they served it and interacted with the children of the house. Clarified some of the doubts regarding their academics and played along with them. Again on 1st February 2023, we visited the house and donated the snacks and the drinks to the children and interacted with them during the evening time. The fund raising is done during the month of January.

Photography competition: “CAPTURE- THE PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION” is held for all the students of Department of Petroleum Engineering & Petrochemical Engineering. The theme of the competition is free. It is conducted to bring out the creative skills in the students. This held during the month of January by FIPI JNTUK Student Chapter in association of SPE JNTUK Student Chapter

On 21st January 2023, a knowledge sharing session was held on the topic “Introduction to Data Analysis” in virtual mood. The speaker of the session was Prof. Kamireddi Venkateswara Rao, Academic Advisor, Petroleum Courses, Dept. of PE & PCE, UCEK(A), JNTUK popularly known as Prof. K. V. Rao. The session went on the topics like statistical concepts, categorization of data analysis, a review of regression analysis for carrying out statistical analysis, and a review of statistical software. He stated that the information is the oil of the twenty-first century, and analytics is the combustion engine.

On 09th January 2023, a knowledge sharing session was held on the topic “Industrial & Process Automation – A Case Study”. The speaker of the session is Shri Tadepalli Shankar, Expert in Process Automation. It’s conducted in virtual mode. The session went on the topic of atomization in the industries of petroleum and chemical using a case study.

On 4 th January 2023, a knowledge sharing session on the topic “Life Cycle Approach for Environmental Sustainability”. The resource person of the session is Dr. Rekhapalli Srinivas Rao, ORYXGTL, Doha, Qatar. The session went on the topic with little interactions in middle of the session. He elaborated the concepts of quantification of environmental issues and approaches for sustainable development.

Installation Ceremony of New Officers of the FIPI Student chapter was organized through virtual mode. The Chief Guest, Shri D.L.N.Sastri, Director (Oil Refining & Marketing), FIPI & Former Executive Director (International Trade), IOCL installed the new office bearers of the chapter and addressed the gathering. The distinguished guests, Shri D. Sivakumar, Lead - Subsea O & M, KGD6, RIL, Kakinada, Shri Pawas Shukla, Manager - Life of field services, Schlumberger. The Guests of Honor are Shri S. K. S. Charyulu, Academic Advisor, Petroleum Courses, Prof. K. V. Rao, Faculty Advisor, JNTUK – FIPI Student Chapter and Ms. P.Varsha, Faculty Coordinator, spoke on the occasion. Dr. K. Krishna Bhaskar, Head, Dept. of PE & PCE, presided over the event.

On 23rd December 2022, Swachh Bharat- Cleanliness Drive is conducted in the Department of Petroleum Engineering & Petrochemical Engineering as a part of hygiene and social responsibility. Which involved the students of mixed classes. Program aimed to install discipline and a sense of responsibility apart from awareness of health and hygiene.

Vigilance Awarness Week 2022: ONGC in association with JNTUK, department of petroleum and petrochemical engineering has conducted a vigilance awareness week to mark the birthday of Shri Sardar Vallabhai Patel on the theme of Corruption free India. On November 2nd an official event was observed in the Alumni Auditorium to distribute prizes to the winners to which the Chief Guest Dr. C L Ramakrishnan Retd. IPS Ex-DGP Former Director of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Govt. of Tamil Nadu and Star Guest Shri Adesh Kumar Executive Director and Asset Manager, EOA & HPHT, ONGC, Kakinada embellished the Dias with their presence. The meeting was also attended by Distinguished Guests Dr. M.H.M. Krishna Prasad, Principal, UCEK (A), JNTUK, Shri D. Malik GM & Head HR – EOA, ONGC, Kakinada Shri K. Vijay Raju, In-charge Vigilance – EOA, ONGC, Kakinada, Shri S.K.S. Charyulu, former executive director ONGC , Dr. D. Lingaraju In-charge Head, Dept. of PE & PCE, UCEK (A), JNTUK. Dignitaries have spoken about the importance of the vigilance awareness week. This week was filled with fun events such as essay writing, slogan, elocution where students of all years actively participated. At the end of the week is also packed with events like walkathon and cyclothon where a mass quantity of 380 students is estimated. The students were attentive throughout the session making it successful, productive and knowledgeable.

On 14th October 2022 an essay competition was conducted for all the students of 3rd year from Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering. The competition is conducted to bring out the competitive spirit and to open up to others whose been confined to themselves due to pandemic. The competition themes are “Technology makes people lonely”, “Travel Experience”, “Incident impacted on you” and “Pollution due to Urbanization”
